Problems with Using an Electric Space Heater
Electric space heaters do not produce an open flame; however, the heating elements of some electric space heater types are hot enough to be able to ignite the combustibles nearby. These include paper, draperies, furniture, clothing, and other flammable liquids. Therefore, it is essential to always check the surrounding objects to see if they already feel hot. It is also important to refer always to the instructions of the manufacturer to check how far the electric space heater should be placed from the floor so that the flooring and carpeting materials do not ignite. Moreover, to prevent electric shocks and electrocutions, you should always keep your electric space heater away from any wet things. You should not use this inside the bathroom or even near a sink.
